6-valve dual wave model with unusual signal strength meter built into the top of the dial

Was this a Radio Corp model, or was it made by Keith Irvine using Exelrad parts and following a Radio Corp design?

Note: the model number (108) is based on this set very closely resembling a Radio Corp model 108 chassis - although its slightly tweaked, and the speaker plug is on top of the chassis, not the rear as Radio Corp typically did.  The author has not had the chance to see under the chassis as yet.  That should be more revealing...
