Schematic and details for 16 and 16A - the differences are unknown.
Bare chassis' that appear to be identical to this model were seen for sale for home builders from several companies such as Fears and Radio Supply Co. (Wgtn) - the following image is from an advert in R&E June 1947.
General Construction Notes for Westco Products Ltd:
Often the model number will be stamped into the metalwork in the back, in front of the serial number - ie: if you find 126 3454 then its probably a model 126. This is not always the case, but its pretty common. Often a different number stamp will be used as well, so the model code and the serial number will be in different 'fonts'. Here are a couple of examples:
YEAR | MODEL NAME |
---|---|
1946 | Yale model 16 |
1946 | Golden Knight model 16 |
