6-valve broadcast band radio in two-tone perspex cabinet.
This radio was a 'badge engineering' model made by Westco - in other words it was sold under various brand names by simply swapping out the badge or label on the front. This was a fairly common practice in the radio industry by this time.

General Construction Notes for Westco Products Ltd:
Often the model number will be stamped into the metalwork in the back, in front of the serial number - ie: if you find 126 3454 then its probably a model 126. This is not always the case, but its pretty common. Often a different number stamp will be used as well, so the model code and the serial number will be in different 'fonts'. Here are a couple of examples:
YEAR | MODEL NAME |
---|---|
1949 | National model 29 'Perspex' |
1949 | Westco model 29 'Perspex' |
